with newer technologies emerging there are more ways nowadays to open and close automatic gate openers automatically and remotely. homeowners prefer automatic gates because of the convenience it brings in comparison to manual gates and other automatic gate openers that cannot be opened or closed remotely. examples of these remote openers or remote controls are entry transmitters and openers using electromagnetic sensors. entry transmitters that open gates remotely work by having a sensor installed on the gate which responds to a transmitter used by the homeowner. the homeowner only needs to push a button in his transmitter and the sensor or receiver installed on the automatic gate opener will automatically respond to the signal allowing the gate to open or close depending on the command. entry transmitters also come in dual and triple mode meaning that the transmitter which has two or three buttons can open two or three automatic gate openers corresponding to each button. entry transmitters are not only used for automatic gate openers but are also used for garage doors. an electromagnetic sensor on the other hand is the truly automatic gate opener. it allows vehicles to exit automatically without having to push any buttons by detecting the motion of the vehicle. electromagnetic sensors are installed in the gate and when a vehicle within its radius of detection (usually 12 feet from the gate) starts to move towards the gate it causes the parking gate opener to open automatically.
